It’s getting to be that time of year again. The weather warms up a bit and so does the house. As a rule, I don’t cook anything that needs to go in the oven once the weather gets warm. The house never seems to cool down again after that. The oven, and all the recipes that use it, will soon be retired until the fall…
While I have several favorite stove-top and salad recipes for the spring and summer months, I always look forward to trying new things. Thanks to Pinterest, I have countless recipes to choose from! For this week’s Oh, How Pinteresting! link-up (with The Vintage Apple), I’m sharing some recipes I will definitely be testing over the next several months.
We love Billy’s BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad Sandwiches, and we love quesadillas. So what’s not to love about BBQ Ranch Quesadillas?
These Chicken, Avocado, and Bacon Quesadillas sound good, too!
Sandwiches are also great for summer! We love “gourmet” grilled cheese sandwiches, so there are right up our alley:
This Grilled Caprese Sandwich (which would use some basil from my herb garden!) would be just for me, since Billy and Caleb don’t like tomatoes, and Jacob likely won’t want fresh basil… Ooh, and I could finally use my Pampered Chef Grill Press, which I’ve had for years and probably never used…
Jalapeño Popper-Inspired Grilled Cheese (which I could make with my serrano peppers, if they grow…)
Bacon-Guacamole Grilled Cheese
Baked Potato Grilled Cheese
Continuing with the “sandwich” thread…
These Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes look great!
And I’m sure the boys would love these Lunch Lady Sloppy Joes.
All that, and I didn’t even get to skillet suppers! I think that’ll be next week’s theme.
